The Silent Shelf Syndrome: Are You Waiting When You Should Be Asking?
Imagine you're standing in front of a vast, well-stocked library. You yearn for knowledge, for new ideas, for inspiration. You can see the shelves filled with books, each holding a potential answer to your deepest questions. But if you never approach the librarian, never open your mouth to ask for a specific title or even a general topic, those books remain on the shelf. Your desire alone won't magically put the knowledge in your hands.Ā You have to ask!
The first step to receiving is always to ask!Ā God, the Universe, your network, your clients ā they often wait for you to articulate your needs and desires. Itās an act of faith, clarity, and intentionality. When we ask, we open ourselves up to possibility, to receiving, and to divine alignment.
I like that. We don't know everything. I still believe we learn something new every day.
